FAQ

General

Does WooSync work with ERPNext v14, v15, and v16?

Yes. WooSync is tested and compatible with ERPNext v14, v15, and v16 (and their matching Frappe framework versions).

Does it support multi-store setups?

Yes. You can connect multiple WooCommerce stores to a single ERPNext instance. Each store has its own Caz Woo Store record with independent configuration (company, warehouse, sync direction, accounting settings).

Does it support WooCommerce Multisite?

Each WooCommerce site in a multisite network is treated as a separate store with its own API credentials and Caz Woo Store record.

Is it real-time or batch?

Both. Webhooks deliver real-time events (new orders, customer registrations, refunds) to ERPNext within seconds. Changes in ERPNext (item saves, stock ledger entries, price updates) are queued and processed within 5 minutes. A 15-minute polling fallback catches any events missed by webhooks.

Products & Items

What happens to variable products?

Variable products in WooCommerce map to ERPNext Item Templates with Item Attributes and Item Variants. Each WooCommerce variation becomes a separate ERPNext Item Variant.

What if a WooCommerce order comes in for a product not yet in ERPNext?

WooSync creates a placeholder Item with the code WOO-{woocommerce_product_id}. The order is created successfully. You can enrich the placeholder item and add a proper Item Mapping afterwards.

Orders & Accounting

Can I review invoices before they are posted?

Yes. Disable “Auto Submit Sales Invoice” in your store’s Accounting Settings. Invoices will be saved as drafts for your team to review and submit manually.

Does it handle tax correctly?

WooSync creates a tax row on Sales Invoices using the WooCommerce order’s total tax amount. It uses the Tax Account configured on the Caz Woo Store. Detailed per-product tax breakdowns are not currently mapped.

Can I use WooSync without the accounting module?

Yes. Leave all Accounting Settings disabled. WooSync will create Sales Orders and sync products/inventory/customers without creating any financial documents.

Performance

Will WooSync slow down my ERPNext?

No. All sync operations run in background workers, not in the main request thread. The rate limiter prevents excessive API calls. The queue batch size (default 50) controls how many items are processed per scheduler run.

How do I handle high order volumes?

Increase the Queue Batch Size in Caz Woo Settings and ensure your bench has enough worker processes (bench set-config worker_timeout 120). For very high volumes, consider a dedicated worker for the WooSync queue.
