Bulk Import

When to Use Bulk Import

When you first connect an existing WooCommerce store to ERPNext, you need to import historical data — existing products, customers, and orders. The Bulk Import tool handles this without disrupting your live store.

Accessing the Bulk Import Tool

Go to CAZ WooSync > Caz Woo Import or click the Bulk Import button on your Caz Woo Store record.

Import Options

  • Store — Select the store to import from
  • Entity Type — Choose what to import: Products, Orders, or Customers
  • Date From / Date To — Optional date range filter to import only recent records
  • Limit — Optional cap on the number of records to import (useful for test imports)

How Bulk Import Works

  1. Click Start Import — WooSync enqueues background jobs to fetch all records of the selected entity type from WooCommerce
  2. WooSync paginates through WooCommerce API results (50 records per page)
  3. For each record, it checks the mapping tables — already-mapped or already-queued records are skipped
  4. New records are added to the Caz Woo Sync Queue with “Queued” status
  5. The sync queue processor picks them up every 5 minutes and processes them in batches of 50

Monitoring Import Progress

Click Check Progress to see live counts of queued, processing, completed, and failed items. You can also view the Caz Woo Sync Queue list to see individual item statuses.

Cancelling an Import

Click Cancel Import to mark all pending queued items as “Skipped”. Items already processing or completed are not affected.

Recommended Import Order

When importing for the first time, follow this order to ensure relationships are resolved correctly:

  1. Products first — establishes Item and Item Mapping records
  2. Customers second — establishes Customer records
  3. Orders last — requires Items and Customers to exist for proper linking
