Introduction & Overview

What is CAZ WooSync?

CAZ WooSync is a two-way synchronisation connector between WooCommerce and ERPNext. It keeps your WooCommerce store and ERPNext instance in sync automatically — products, orders, customers, inventory, prices, accounting entries, refunds, and coupons — eliminating manual data entry and reducing stock discrepancies across both platforms.

How it Works

WooSync is a Frappe app installed on your ERPNext server. It listens to events from both sides:

  • WooCommerce → ERPNext — Webhooks push real-time events (new orders, customer registrations, refunds) to ERPNext as soon as they happen in WooCommerce.
  • ERPNext → WooCommerce — Document events (Item save, Stock Ledger submit, Item Price update) queue a sync job that pushes the change to WooCommerce.
  • Polling fallback — Every 15 minutes, WooSync polls WooCommerce for any changes that may have been missed by webhooks.

Architecture

WooSync runs as a background service on your ERPNext server. All sync operations are queued and processed asynchronously — a failed sync is automatically retried up to 5 times with exponential backoff (1 min, 5 min, 15 min, 1 hr, then failed). This means a temporary WooCommerce outage will not lose data.

Multiple Stores

A single ERPNext instance can connect to multiple WooCommerce stores simultaneously. Each store has its own configuration record (Caz Woo Store) with independent settings for company, warehouse, sync direction, and accounting accounts.
